vegan cinnamon frozen yogurt

  • August 22, 2020

You don’t have to buy frozen yogurt to enjoy frozen yogurt, its actually quite simple to make!

This is my favorite vegan recipe.

Enjoy!

vegan cinnamon frozen yogurt

(makes about 4 cups (1L))

what you’ll need:

  • Ice cream maker (here’s the one I like)
  • ¾ cup (175 mL)  maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cups (1 L) dairy free yogurt

instructions:

1. In a small saucepan combine maple syrup, cinnamon and vanilla and bring mixture to a simmer.

2. Whisk mixture well to combine and remove from heat.

3. In a large mixing bowl combine yogurt and warm maple syrup mixture and whisk well to combine.

4. Cool mixture to room temperature.

5. Place yogurt mixture into your ice cream machine and follow manufacturer’s instructions.

6. Once yogurt is thick and creamy, approximately 30-60 minutes, transfer to a deep, air tight container.

Enjoy immediately or store in the freezer for up to one month.

chef jordan’s tips:

  • Yogurt is best when served soft. Remove from the freezer and allow it to soften for ten minutes before eating.
